Cristo Rey Supplies our community with everything that poverty takes from it, and more. Funding is imperative when providing needed services to the community. One of the newest endeavors is Tech La Casa, it is a free class that allows Spanish speaking elderly get acclimated with computers. This community center also provides additional services like the "Bread Rack." Bread Rack allows people in the community to come get bread as they need it. Cristo Rey also has a personal needs closet that distributes over 800 hygiene, linens, and bedding products yearly, that can be visited once per month, and a clothing closet that can be visited twice per month. The helping hand that Cristo Rey extends is endless with the Family Health Care Center, Prescription Assistance, Counseling Services, and the Financial Empowerment Counseling that it offers. However, this community center isn't oblivious to the fact that 20% of the U.S. is in poverty, the city of Lansing is the same with 1-5 civilians being food insecure.
