Microsoft Research Study on the Digital Divide shows different picture then the FCC

According to a new study by Microsoft regarding the Digital Divide as recently reported on Microsoft blog "we are not making very much progress in closing the broadband gap."  Microsoft researchers presents a very different from the F.C.C. numbers on the actual use of high-speed internet across the country.  Microsoft's analysis, which was presented at a Microsoft event on May 14, 2019 in Washington, D.C., suggested that the access speeds are very much more limited, according to what their data shows, than the Federal Communication Commission (FCC).  Despite the fact that within the past several years, "there’s been more than $22 billion in subsidies and grants to carriers to sustain, extend and improve broadband in rural America.
