Lansing, MI -- Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has picked Kristen Simmons to serve a portion of the term left vacant by the retirement of Judge Hugh Clarke Jr., in which was slated to end in January 2023.
Attorney Kristen Simmons currently is with the State of Michigan Department of Corrections where she serves as the litigation manager in that department. Attorney Simmons is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School - Western Michigan University with a Juris Doctorate focused in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law according to her LinkedIn page. Simmons was chosen by the Ingham County Bar Association recently as one of the Top 5 Under 35 in 2017.
