Michigan State University's interim president will be Teresa Woodruff, who is currently MSU's Provost.
That decision was made today by the MSU Board of Trustees during a special meeting on the East Lansing campus.
Woodruff, a molecular biologist by profession, has been the school's provost since August 2020.
She will be leading Michigan State during a tumultuous time after the resignation of current President Samuel Stanley.
The Trustees today unanimously approved Woodruff's appointment and officially accepted Dr. Stanley's resignation.
