Graphic by Charity Treat

To ensure that voters have access to transportation for the upcoming City of Lansing primary

election Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, the Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer system-wide free rides to the polls. No ID is required to ride. Customers should simply inform the driver that they are traveling to or from a polling center to board for free. Spec-Tran and Rural Service rides must be scheduled by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7. Same-day rides are not available for these services. CATA also recommends that Redi-Ride trips to polling centers be booked no later than Aug. 7. Rides can be arranged by calling 517-394-2282. For additional information, contact a CATA Customer Experience Representative at info@cata.org or by phone at 517-394-1000.
