Major news organizations, including the AP and CNN, are projecting that Democrat Katie Hobbs (pictured below on the right) will win the much-talked-about race for governor of Arizona.
Hobbs will narrowly beat election-denier and former news anchor Kari Lake. Lake said repeatedly she would not have certified the 2020 results that gave Arizona's electoral votes to Joe Biden.
It is not yet known if Lake will concede her apparent defeat. Some expect her to protest the result by claiming voter fraud and seeking to overturn the election through lawsuits just like the man who endorsed her for governor, former President Donald Trump.
