LCC to host MEMCA Student Leadership Conference

LANSING, Mich. – The Early College at Lansing Community College will host eight area schools, and some 100 students and parents at the Michigan Early/Middle College Association (MEMCA) Student Leadership Conference, Friday, March 23, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at LCC’s Downtown Campus, Health and Human Services Building 515 N. Washington Square. MEMCA provides mid-Michigan high school juniors with the opportunity to earn up to 60 college credits, tuition free, as part of their high school learning experience. Students have a personalized learning experience within a small learning community, a positive school experience, and the social and academic tools to successfully continue their education or career. The Spring MEMCA Conference serves as a follow up meeting that allows student groups to present advocacy plans. Students will share how they came up with their idea and how they implemented (or will implement) their plan.
