Death toll is Rising in South Korean stampede disaster

Officials in the South Korean capital of Seoul say the number of dead from yesterday's tragic stampede at an outdoor Halloween celebration is now up to at least 151. From 50 to 100 other people were hurt, and some remain hospitalized in serious condition.

The cause of the disaster remains under investigation. A crowd estimated at 100-thousand people was taking part in the festivities. It was the first large outdoor celebration in Seoul since the start of the 2020 COVID pandemic.
