Whitmer Wins a 2nd term as Michigan's Governor

The latest headline from the Detroit News says it all -- "Big Gretch" appears to have scored a big victory in last night's election.

Incumbent Democrat Gretchen Whitmer has been declared the winner of the Michigan governor's race.

With 84% of the votes counted (as of this post), Whitmer has 53% of the tally versus 45% for Republican Tudor Dixon.

When all the mail-in votes are counted, it's possible Whitmer's final victory margin will be in excess of 12%.
