Michigan Tourism Organization Appoints New Officers

2023 President - Tkach from Traverse City


The Michigan Association of Convention & Visitor Bureaus (MACVB) recently named its officers for the 2023 calendar year.

 

The newly elected officers are:  

President: Trevor Tkach (Traverse City)

Vice President: Susan Estler (Marquette)    

Secretary:   Bob Lukens (Muskegon)

Treasurer: Julie Pingston (Lansing)

 

Directors at Large: Brad Barnett (Keweenaw), Janet Korn (Grand Rapids)    

and Annette Rummel (Great Lakes Bay area).

Trevor Tkach has served in various volunteer leadership roles with MACVB and

is the President and CEO of Traverse City Tourism. Tkach stated, “It’s a true honor to serve as president of MACVB for a second year.  Working closely with our friends in the hospitality and tourism industry, the 2023 board of directors looks forward to advocating for thoughtful policies and investments that advance our state’s travel economy.  We are committed to educating our members on industry best practices and innovative ways to add value to communities all across the state.”

 

MACVB is comprised of 50-member convention and visitor bureaus located throughout the State of Michigan.  MACVB is an organization of Convention & Visitor Bureau CEO’s and staff, whose mission is to serve as the advocate for the travel industry and provide leadership to its members through education and communication.
