2026 Greater Lansing Trick-or-Treat Times: When to Take the Kids Out This Halloween

Halloween falls on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, and communities across Greater Lansing are preparing for an evening of costumes, candy and neighborhood fun. Most local communities are using the traditional 6–8 p.m. trick-or-treating window this year, although a few surrounding communities have different hours. Here’s a quick guide for families planning Halloween night.

More Halloween events
East Lansing’s Great Pumpkin Walk is set for Sunday, Oct. 25 from 1–4 p.m. in downtown East Lansing, with trick-or-treating at participating businesses, pumpkin decorating and family entertainment. Delhi Township’s Halloween in the Park is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 25 from 2–4 p.m. at Valhalla Park in Holt, featuring a trick-or-treat trail with local businesses and organizations.
Meridian Township Police will host a Halloween Open House on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at the township’s Public Safety Building in Okemos.
