EAST LANSING, Mich. — AARP Michigan and the Greater Lansing Care Foundation will host a free in-person session on dementia care Tuesday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Case Credit Union Community Room, 2400 West Road in East Lansing.

The workshop, “Positive Approach® to Care: Navigating Brain Change and Dementia,” will feature psychologist and dementia care expert Dr. Beth Nolan. According to the organizers, the program is designed for family caregivers, health professionals and community members supporting people living with dementia.

Organizers say participants will learn how dementia can change the brain, how to recognize abilities a person retains, and ways to communicate with empathy and respect.

Registration is free at https://events.aarp.org/Caregiving_2026_II.
