Some leaders seek recognition. Others build impact that speaks for itself.

Dr. Terra DeFoe is firmly the latter.

As Founder and Managing Partner of De’Cole & Associates, Dr. DeFoe has spent decades shaping policy, empowering communities, and creating pathways where barriers once stood.

Her journey began in 2001 as a paralegal, where she used her skills to support faith-based organizations, advocate for voting rights, and mobilize communities through civic engagement.

Her work quickly expanded into the Michigan House of Representatives, followed by roles in the Michigan State Senate, City of Detroit mayoral administrations, U.S. presidential campaigns, and alongside a United States Senator.

Across every space she has entered, Dr. DeFoe has remained grounded in one mission: to create meaningful, measurable change.

Her leadership is not defined by titles, but by effectiveness. By the doors she opens. By the systems she helps improve. By the people whose lives are better because she showed up.

Her message to women is both powerful and freeing: You are not limited to one role. You are allowed to grow, evolve, and hold multiple titles at once.

For Dr. DeFoe, success is not about visibility, it is about impact.

And her legacy continues to be built through service, strength, and unwavering purpose.
