Eastern Michigan Alumni Head to East Lansing for EMU-Michigan State Football Weekend

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Eastern Michigan University is taking its green and white on the road this September, inviting alumni, friends and football fans to gather in East Lansing before the Eagles take on Michigan State University. The EMU Alumni & Friends Tailgate at MSU will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 3 p.m. at Munn Intramural Field, 363 Chestnut Road in East Lansing. The tailgate is located approximately a five-minute walk from Spartan Stadium and near the Meijer Fan Fest and 517 Beer Garden. (Eastern Michigan University Athletics)

The gathering will include food, beverages, games and music as Eastern Michigan supporters prepare for the afternoon matchup between the Eagles and Spartans. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Spartan Stadium. (Eastern Michigan University Athletics)

Admission to the tailgate is $50 for adults, which includes a buffet and two drink tickets. Tickets for children ages 3 to 12 are $25 and include a buffet and one drink ticket. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the event. (Eastern Michigan University Athletics)

For Mid-Michigan, the matchup offers more than a Saturday afternoon of football. It brings together two of Michigan’s public universities and their alumni communities in the heart of East Lansing during one of the region’s busiest traditions — college football game day.
