KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY, INC. – NORTHERN PROVINCE CONVENES 94TH PROVINCE COUNCIL AT MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY

East Lansing, MI – The Northern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will convene its 94th Province Council March 26–29, 2026, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. The fourday gathering will bring together undergraduate and alumni members from across the Province and Canada to conduct the business of the fraternity, provide leadership development, and engage in targeted community based events in the Capital Region.


Province Polemarch Gregory Thomas will preside over the Province Council, which will feature plenary business sessions, officer and committee reports, officer elections, leadership training for undergraduates and alumni, and deliberations on strategic priorities for the Northern Province in the coming year.


Delegates will address matters including chapter operations, membership development, community programming, and support for college success among undergraduate young men.


Community Service reflects the heart of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Brothers of Kappa believe in public service. Our Founders affirmed their commitment to community by making it one of our primary objectives. Nationally, provincially, and locally, Kappas have consistently demonstrated leadership through meaningful, organized service that addresses real community needs.


At the 94th Northern Province Council, this commitment is put into action through intentional, handson service opportunities that engage Brothers, partners, and guests in support of the Lansing and greater MidMichigan community.


These efforts are designed to be impactful, wellcoordinated, and rooted in our Fraternity’s enduring mission ensuring that our presence extends beyond meetings and sessions to leave a lasting, positive footprint where we gather. In partnership with the Greater Lansing Food Bank, the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi will join forces to address food insecurity by packing meals for families in need, Room to Read (R2R) our national initiative to improve youth reading literacies.  A veterans’ outreach resource, led by the Province Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, will also be available during the Council to provide information and support to veteran Brothers and guests.


In addition to its internal business and community service initiatives, the 94th Province Council will highlight Kappa Alpha Psi’s longstanding commitment to publicprivate collaboration and civic engagement.


The Northern Province, together with the Lansing Alumni Chapter and the Delta Pi Chapter at Michigan State University, will host communityfocused activities, youth engagement, and recognition of local partners and organizations that contribute to the social, educational, and economic wellbeing of Lansing and East Lansing.


“Our Province Council is where we renew our commitment to Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor and affirm our responsibility to the communities we serve,” said Province Polemarch’s Gregory Thomas. “By gathering on the campus of Michigan State University, we are also underscoring our investment in higher education, student leadership, and the next generation of Kappa men.”


The public meeting of the 94th Province Council, March 27, 2026, 6:00 PM, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, Michigan State University Campus, open to the public andcommunity. Guests will include greetings from local and state officials, presentations of three community service awards to State Senator Sarah Anthony, Ms. Marilyn Rogers, and Mr. Larry Johnson, Sr., in recognition of the positive impact local citizens are having in their community and throughout the Northern Province.
