2023-2024 LCC Performing Arts Theatre Season

Isaac’s Eye by Lucas Hnath

October 6-8, 13 –14, 2023

Directed by Andy Callis

Black Box Theatre

Lucas Hnath reimagines the contentious, plague-ravaged world a young Issac Newton inhabited in Isaac’s Eye, exploring the dreams and longings that drove the rural farm boy to become one of the greatest thinkers in modern science.

Sense and Sensibility by Kate Hamill

Based on the novel by Jane Austen

November 10-12, 17-19, 2023

Directed by Mary Job

Black Box Theatre

A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters – sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne – after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable.

The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse

February 23-25, March 1-2, 2024

Directed by Blake Bowen

Black Box Theatre

Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.

My Emperor’s New Clothes by Larry Shue

A musical play for children

From a story by Hans Christian Anderson

Directed by Paige Tufford

Dart Auditorium

April 5-6, 12-13, 2024

A colorful, brightly comic, and truly delightful treat for young audiences, written by one of our theatre’s most accomplished playwrights. The author has transformed the famous original children’s story into a fresh and lively theatre piece filled with funny lines, hummable songs, and fast-paced action.
