Michigan Statewide Election Results

Democrats and "Yes" are the apparent big winners in Michigan's statewide individual and proposal races:


*Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) defeats Tudor Dixon (R) with 53% of the vote to 45%.


*Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D) has won reelection over Kristina Karamo (R) by a margin of 52% to 45%.


*Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel is the apparent winner over her Republican challenger Matt DePerno. The vote count as of this posting is Nessel with 52% of the total vote to DePerno's 46%.


*All three of the statewide Proposals -- Prop #1 (term limit changes), Prop #2 (election law changes), and Prop #3 (to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution) WERE APPROVED EASILY by Michigan voters.
