Spartans versus 'Zags' in the Armed Forces Classic

It is being called the first 'big game' of the new college basketball season. It pits the Michigan State Spartans against the nation's #2 ranked team, the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

This year's "Armed Forces Classic" will be played on the deck of the Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln which is docked at the North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego.

The game will be nationally televised on ESPN with coverage starting at 6:30 this evening.
