TODAY'S NEWS

• The Lions began their preparation for the Chicago Bears today with a practice in shorts at the team’s headquarters and training facility in Allen Park.

• Detroit (7-6) returns home following two consecutive road games to face Chicago (4-9) for the second time this season in the home-away divisional series. The Lions enter Week 15 after defeating the Buccaneers 24-21 in Tampa, while the Bears come to Ford Field following a 33-7 victory at Cincinnati.

• Saturday’s contest will mark the 176th meeting between the two historic franchises, with the Lions defeating the Bears 27-24 in Week 11 at Soldier Field.

DETROIT LIONS TO OPEN GATES EARLY FOR SATURDAY’S COLOR RUSH GAME AT FORD FIELD DETROIT - The Detroit Lions are opening Ford Field gates 30 minutes early (2 PM) for their Color Rush game against the Chicago Bears on Saturday, December 16 to help accommodate one of the largest expected crowds this season.
