Eric King brings his years of educational and insurance experience to the Meemic family after returning to Michigan from Houston, Texas, following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
Eric comes from a family of educators. His father was a teacher and admissions counselor at Lansing Community College, and his mother taught at Emory University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, U-Mass-Boston and Penn State University. With his parents as examples, Eric ultimately chose to attend Eastern Michigan University, where he received his bachelor’s degree (minors in science, social science, and diversity issues), and carved out his own career as an educator.
After years of teaching, Eric decided he wanted to impact education differently and opened an agency to focus on the educational community. By successfully transitioning from serving and meeting the needs of students to serving and meeting the financial needs of educators, Eric developed into a dedicated and compassionate insurance specialist, ensuring exceptional and efficient service for all clients. Eric’s ability to build strong, meaningful relationships allowed him to grow his agency in unprecedented ways.
