LANSING, Mich. – Maner Costerisan, a full-service public accounting, technology and business consulting firm, has been recognized as one of Crain’s Detroit’s 2022 'Cool Places to Work'. The prestigious annual list ranked Maner No. 13 among medium-sized businesses statewide and No. 40 overall.

“Maner Costerisan being acknowledged as a cool place to work in Michigan showcases the genuine commitment we have for our team members and our dedication toward creating a culture that values employee differences, viewpoints, purpose and contributions,” said Trey Williams, CPA, president, Maner Costerisan.

“This recognition is significant because the Maner team shared their thoughts and opinions of the organization, and we were selected based on that positive feedback.”

Crain’s 'Cool Places to Work' is a highly competitive designation that recognizes and honors

Michigan’s 100 best places to work based on a two-part process. The first step evaluates eachnominated company’s culture, policies, and programs, contributing to 25% of the overall score. The second component is an employee survey, which accounts for 75% of the total evaluation. Best Companies Group oversees the survey process and manages the data analysis to determine the final rankings. The ranks are divided into three groups according to organization size, based on employee count. Companies must also meet specific criteria, including a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in Michigan and a minimum of one year in business.

Maner is dedicated to it's work culture, as evidenced by numerous initiatives that empower

employees and benefit the communities in which they are located and serve. Maner Costerisan Cares is a community outreach program that allows Maner team members to volunteer their time and resources to local causes and community initiatives that are important to them.

Maner Costerisan also places each team member with a career advisor and has a four-tiered

Career Development Program that rewards hard work, skill and creativity by putting each individual on a clear and fast track to success. Maner team members can also receive up to $500 annually for wellness activities and have the option to obtain pet insurance through the firm.

“Our team is passionate, driven and extraordinarily talented,” said Williams. “We are proud to create a work environment that is not only fun and cool but also provides career development opportunities and empowerment to engage and develop more meaningful relationships with each other, the community, and our clients.”

The firm has been recognized as one of the “Best Accounting Firms to Work For” by Accounting Today for the past six years and was recently ranked No. 19 among the top midsize and large firms nationwide. Maner was also ranked No. 159 on the Top 200 Accounting Firms by Inside Public Accounting Magazine, edging out the approximately 46,000 public accounting firms in the United States.
