Some women build platforms.

Some build brands.

And some build people.

Dr. Tareva Watts is doing the sacred work of building healed generations.

As CEO, Founder, and Clinical Director of Inspired Faith Counseling and Consultation in Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Watts has carved out a space where mental health and faith are not at odds, but aligned. Established in 2020, her practice was born from both calling and conviction. She recognized a growing need for safe, faith-sensitive environments where individuals, especially women, could confront emotional wounds without stigma or shame.

She understood something many overlook.

Mindset shapes identity.

Unresolved trauma influences leadership.

Emotional health determines the strength of families and communities.

Through therapy, mentorship, workshops, speaking engagements, and published works, Dr. Watts helps individuals move beyond survival mode and into clarity, confidence, and purpose. Her work is holistic, addressing spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional wellness with both clinical precision and compassionate care.

Her influence extends beyond the therapy room. As an accomplished author of Mind Over Matter, Mind Over Matter Mental Health Workbook, and Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, What Do You See When You Look at Yourself?, Dr. Watts equips readers with tools to shift their thinking and rebuild from the inside out. Through her platform, 1InspiredFaith, and her YouTube podcast, Mental Health Tea with Dr. T., she continues to expand conversations around healing and personal growth.

At the heart of her message is a powerful truth:

“When you reset your mind, you realign your life — and healed women build healed generations.”

— Dr. Tareva Watts

This is more than a memorable phrase. It is the foundation of her philosophy and the framework of her practice.

When asked what advice she would offer the next generation of women leaders, Dr. Watts offered a charge rooted in wisdom and accountability:

“Do your healing work. Leadership without healing can unintentionally harm others. Protect your peace, invest in your growth, and never allow titles to replace character. Stay grounded in your faith, surround yourself with wise counsel, and remember that your voice matters. The most powerful leaders are those who lead with integrity, compassion, and emotional awareness.”

— Dr. Tareva Watts

Her words are both caution and invitation.

They remind us that leadership is not simply about visibility or influence. It is about emotional responsibility. It is about character. It is about wholeness.

Dr. Tareva Watts embodies compassion, intelligence, faith, and strength. Her presence is poised and powerful, yet her mission remains deeply personal: to ensure that healing becomes a foundation for leadership rather than an afterthought.

In strengthening minds, she is strengthening families.

In strengthening families, she is strengthening communities.

And in doing so, she is not only shifting narratives.

She is helping shape futures!

Featured on The Sunday Chronicle

Dr. Watts holds a meaningful place in Chronicle history. She was the very first guest interviewed by host Yanice Carter on The Sunday Chronicle.

She was introduced by Chronicle News founder Larry “Jay Price” Carter, in a moment that felt less like an interview and more like a passing of the torch. It was a powerful bridge between legacy and new beginnings, a reflection of what The Chronicle has always stood for: lifting voices that build communities from the inside out.
