LANSING, Mich., Oct. 1, 2026 — Beginning October 1, Lansing Community College will accept public nominations for its Changemakers Center Class of 2028. Nominations will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on December 31. Nominees should have a significant connection to Lansing, be verifiable and documented, and represent diverse backgrounds, eras, and fields.


The Changemakers Center at Lansing Community College honors extraordinary individuals who shaped Lansing's past and inspires future generations to build their own legacies of positive change. Through cutting-edge interactive technology and immersive storytelling, the center preserves history, celebrates achievement, and shows that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things.
