Mason Family Eye Care Celebrates 50 Years of Service with Grand Opening of New Facility
MASON, MI — October 1, 2026 — The Mason Area Chamber of Commerce joined local leaders, community members, and longtime patients to celebrate a major milestone for Mason Family Eye Care: 50 years of continuous service in the Mason community and the official ribbon cutting for their new, state-of-the-art facility. The ceremony took place on October 1, welcoming attendees to tour the expanded space and celebrate five decades of dedicated vision care.
Founded half a century ago, Mason Family Eye Care began as a family partnership between Dr. Glen and his brother, an optician, who worked side-by-side for 40 years. Today, that legacy lives on as second-generation leadership. Dr. Chad and Brett, the practice manager, lead the clinic alongside a growing staff of talented community members.
In addition to comprehensive vision exams and medical eye care, the practice handles emergency services and features an expanded optical boutique offering designer frames, custom lens technology, professional repairs, and precision fittings.
Beyond clinical care, Mason Family Eye Care has always been a major champion of good both locally and globally. Guided by Dr. Glen’s deep dedication to service work, the practice's outreach has ranged from traveling to Tala, Kenya to provide essential eye exams to steadfastly supporting local organizations right here in Mason.
The transition to the new location marks a significant expansion for the practice, allowing the clinic to increase patient capacity, integrate advanced optical testing equipment, and provide an upgraded, comfortable environment for visitors. The investment reflects the practice's long-term commitment to remaining in Mason and continuing to provide high-quality eye care for future generations of area residents.
